Subjects Taught

I grew up in Hampton County and graduated Salutatorian from Wade Hampton High School in 2011. I recently graduated from The University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC in May 2015. I have an undergraduate degree in early childhood education with a gifted and talented endorsement.

This school year, 2015-2015, is my first year teaching at Fennell Elementary School. As a first year teacher, I am excited about beginning my career and continuing my jouney as a lifelong learner.  Last school year, I student taught in third grade in Lexington District Two in Columbia SC. I also have many experiences in classroom settings as a student at the University of South Carolina and as a substitute teacher.

My goal is not only to teach my students, but to inspire a love of lifelong curiosity and learning. As once said by Dr. Seuss, “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.”

A little bit about me:

I have one dog, named Buddy, who I love dearly.

I am a huge University of South Carolina Gamecocks fan.

Penguins are my favorite!
